ANNANDALE, VA – A cold start to Friday gives way to a slow warming trend as Virginia braces for milder weekend conditions. Residents can expect mostly sunny skies and seasonally warmer temperatures over the next few days.

According to the National Weather Service, Friday’s high will reach 34°F with calm northwest winds at 5 to 7 mph. Temperatures will dip to a brisk 14°F overnight. Saturday brings a slight increase, with highs near 36°F and light winds shifting south in the afternoon.

Sunday offers the warmest day of the weekend, with temperatures climbing to 43°F under partly cloudy skies. Winds will remain steady at 6 to 9 mph. The week ahead promises even milder conditions, with Monday reaching 45°F and a possible high of 50°F by Tuesday.

Travelers and commuters can enjoy clear road conditions as no precipitation is forecasted through midweek. However, chilly nights will persist, with lows in the teens and 20s through Monday. Be sure to bundle up during early morning activities and stay cautious of icy spots, especially near shaded areas.

The warming trend provides an excellent opportunity to enjoy outdoor activities in the coming days. Monday and Tuesday are forecast to be particularly pleasant for running errands or taking a walk.
