Cleveland, OH – A cold front is expected to bring strong winds to northern Ohio, impacting boaters on Lake Erie today. A Small Craft Advisory is in effect, with winds ranging from 20 to 30 knots. These conditions will begin after 5 p.m. for the western side of the lake and after 7 p.m. for the eastern side.

According to the National Weather Service in Cleveland, this advisory will remain active throughout the evening, with rough conditions persisting into Wednesday morning. The cold front will primarily affect smaller vessels due to the increased wind speeds and rough waters.

Boaters are advised to exercise caution and avoid unnecessary travel. The weather is expected to stabilize by mid-week, but residents and boaters should stay updated on further advisories and alerts. The cold front is also expected to bring cooler temperatures across northern Ohio, with highs dipping into the low 60s.
