Duluth, MN – Northern Minnesota will experience a warm start to the week with highs in the 70s, but a cold front arriving Tuesday night will bring colder air and a chance of snow showers by Wednesday morning. Patchy fog will clear today, making way for partly cloudy skies and temperatures reaching up to 78 degrees in some areas.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected Tuesday, mainly north of the Iron Range and across the Arrowhead region. Highs will be in the upper 60s to low 70s, with gusty southwest winds reaching up to 25 mph.

The cold front will bring much cooler air late Tuesday, dropping temperatures into the 30s overnight. Snow showers are possible by early Wednesday morning, though accumulation beyond a dusting is not expected. Highs on Wednesday will only reach the mid-40s, with breezy northwest winds up to 20 mph.

Rain showers will return Thursday afternoon along with slightly warmer temperatures in the 50s. Residents should prepare for the shift in weather and stay updated with the latest forecasts from the NWS as snow showers develop midweek.
