Gaylord, MI – Northern Michigan will see lingering snow showers Friday morning before temperatures climb into the 30s over the weekend, bringing a break from the recent Arctic cold.

According to the National Weather Service, Friday morning will bring a 20% chance of light snow before skies gradually clear. High temperatures will reach 25°F, with a northwest wind at 5–10 mph. Overnight, skies remain mostly clear, with a low of 18°F.

Saturday will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 32°F as winds shift southwest. Sunday brings a renewed chance of snow showers in the afternoon, with light accumulations possible. Roads may be slick, especially overnight, as melting snow refreezes.

By Monday, the warming trend continues, with highs reaching the upper 30s. However, icy conditions will still be a concern during morning and evening hours. Motorists should remain cautious, particularly on bridges and overpasses.

Looking ahead, next week’s forecast suggests continued mild temperatures, signaling an end to the deep freeze. Stay updated on weather alerts and road conditions if traveling this weekend.
