Gaylord, MI — A cold front is moving across Northern Michigan today, bringing showers and embedded thunderstorms to the region. Residents should prepare for localized heavy rainfall, particularly along western parts of northern lower Michigan. Showers are expected to continue through the evening, with cooler air settling in by Monday.

According to the National Weather Service, highs today will range from 69 to 80 degrees, while Monday will bring cooler temperatures in the low 70s. Scattered showers are expected early Monday, clearing up later in the day, with more significant rain chances returning on Tuesday.

Drivers on I-75 and surrounding areas should be cautious of wet roads and potential flash flooding, particularly in low-lying areas. By midweek, Northern Michigan will see a return to mostly sunny skies, offering relief from the rain and cooler temperatures.

Residents are advised to stay updated on weather alerts and plan for wet conditions through Tuesday. Cooler, sunny weather is expected to dominate by Wednesday, bringing highs of 66 to 73 degrees.
