According to the National Weather Service in Gaylord, thunderstorms are likely to intensify after 11 p.m., with the heaviest rain expected during the overnight hours into Thursday morning. Those participating in Halloween festivities are advised to dress warmly and prepare for wet, windy conditions, as temperatures are expected to drop sharply into the low 60s overnight, with gusts reaching 30-35 mph. Rainfall amounts could range from a tenth to a quarter inch, with isolated areas experiencing higher totals.
Thursday will see continued rain and thunderstorms, accompanied by cooler temperatures reaching a high near 64. Winds will persist from the south at 15-20 mph, bringing a brisk chill to the air. The evening may dip into the upper 40s, with “feels-like” temperatures in the 40s and 30s, setting a chilly stage for Halloween night.
