Caribou, ME – A warming trend will bring above-normal temperatures to Maine this weekend, with highs reaching the 40s on Friday and climbing into the upper 40s and low 50s by Saturday. While dry conditions will persist through Saturday, rain is expected to move in by Sunday night.

According to the National Weather Service in Caribou, the warmest day will be Sunday, followed by rain continuing into Monday. This temperature shift, combined with rainfall, may cause significant snowmelt across the region. Officials warn that ice movement on rivers could lead to ice jams, increasing the risk of localized flooding.

Fog may develop at night over the next couple of days as moisture increases. Residents are advised to stay updated on changing conditions, particularly in areas prone to ice jams and river flooding.
