Fort Wayne, IN – Strong winds are sweeping across Northern Indiana, with gusts reaching up to 50 mph. A Wind Advisory remains in effect through 7 p.m. for parts of Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio.
According to the National Weather Service Northern Indiana, sustained southwest winds of 20-30 mph, with gusts up to 50 mph, will continue through the evening. A few isolated gusts above 50 mph are possible.
These winds may create hazardous travel conditions, especially for high-profile vehicles. Tree limbs could break, and loose outdoor items may be blown away. Power outages are also a concern in some areas.
Residents are advised to secure outdoor objects and use caution while driving. Winds will gradually subside overnight, with cooler temperatures settling in for the weekend.
