Fort Wayne, Ind. – Clearer skies and cooler air are moving into Indiana tonight following a cold front, bringing much-needed relief from recent humidity. Temperatures will drop to the low 50s overnight, with daytime highs climbing into the upper 70s Tuesday and mid-80s by Wednesday.

According to the National Weather Service in Northern Indiana, drier air and calmer conditions will dominate through midweek, but haze from Canadian wildfires may reduce visibility and sunshine on Tuesday afternoon. This upper-level smoke will not impact air quality at the surface but could cast a slight haze during peak daylight hours.

Cities including South Bend, Fort Wayne, and Warsaw will enjoy sunny, less humid days Tuesday, with Wednesday turning slightly warmer and more humid. While the weather is overall pleasant, the public is advised to stay aware of shifting smoke patterns and monitor any updates regarding air quality.

This stretch of calmer weather is expected to last until midweek before humidity potentially returns by Thursday. Stay tuned for additional advisories if wildfire smoke thickens or rain chances develop.
