Northern Indiana – A cold front moving into Northern Indiana is set to bring noticeable temperature drops by 6 p.m. EDT today, particularly in areas inland and southwest Michigan. While temperatures will reach into the 70s for most of the day, expect cooler conditions along the lakeside as the front approaches.

According to the National Weather Service, the cold front will push through late this afternoon, bringing a marked change in temperatures. The warmer air inland will give way to a much cooler evening, especially for areas near Lake Michigan. By 6 p.m. EDT, temperatures will noticeably cool, signaling the arrival of fall-like weather for the region.

The rest of the weekend will offer a reprieve from the cold front’s effects. Sunday will remain mostly sunny with temperatures ranging from 68°F to 78°F, making it an ideal day for outdoor activities. However, Monday brings a 30-40% chance of thunderstorms, particularly in the afternoon.

Residents are encouraged to prepare for the sudden temperature drop this afternoon and adjust outdoor plans accordingly.
