Fort Wayne, IN – Residents of northern Indiana should prepare for typical summertime storms through Friday as temperatures and humidity increase.
According to the US National Weather Service Northern Indiana, the highest likelihood of storms will be today from 2-8 PM, particularly south of US-24. These storms may bring damaging winds and heavy rain. Although lower chances are expected for Independence Day, some storms remain possible, especially south of US-30. On Friday, the best chance for storms will be during the day, with mainly dry conditions anticipated by the evening.
Today’s forecast for northern Indiana includes a 40% chance of rain, with temperatures reaching a high of 84°F. Thursday will see a 35% chance of storms, mainly south of US-30, with highs between 80-85°F. Friday has a 55% chance of morning and early afternoon storms, with temperatures ranging from 81-86°F.
Looking ahead, Saturday’s weather will clear up, with highs around 76°F and partly cloudy skies. Sunday is expected to be sunny, with temperatures peaking at 82°F. Early next week, the region will experience mild temperatures, with Monday and Tuesday’s highs in the low 60s, returning to partly cloudy conditions by Wednesday.
