Northern Indiana – A quiet weather week is underway, bringing clear skies and cooler temperatures across Northern Indiana. Highs will range from the mid-60s to upper 70s, while lows will dip into the 40s. The National Weather Service (NWS) predicts Wednesday will be the coldest, especially in Michigan, with temperatures dropping into the mid-30s.
According to the NWS, residents should have a great chance to view the Draconids Meteor Shower tonight. With minimal cloud coverage expected, viewing will be best in the late evening through early morning. This meteor shower moves at a slow speed of about 10 meteors per hour, making it easier to catch the meteors streak across the sky.
The cooler fall temperatures are expected to persist, especially at night, making tonight an excellent opportunity for stargazers. Residents are encouraged to bundle up while enjoying the celestial display. This rare meteor shower typically doesn’t bring as many meteors as others but can still offer an impressive show in dark, rural areas.
