Fort Wayne, IN – Northern Indiana, southwest Michigan, and northwest Ohio are under a winter weather advisory until 7 p.m. EST Sunday, with snow, ice, and strong winds expected to impact travel and safety.

According to the National Weather Service, snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches are anticipated, along with a light glaze of ice. Winds could gust up to 40 mph this afternoon, creating blowing snow and hazardous road conditions, especially on bridges and overpasses.

The advisory covers multiple counties, including Allen, Noble, Fulton, and Kosciusko in Indiana, as well as Hillsdale, Branch, and St. Joseph in Michigan, and Williams, Defiance, and Van Wert in Ohio. Officials warn drivers to slow down and use caution, with slippery roads likely throughout the day.

Residents are advised to monitor road conditions via 511 services and take precautions when walking outside, as icy surfaces could increase the risk of falls and injuries. The advisory remains in effect until 7 p.m. EST, with conditions expected to improve by Sunday night.
