Northern Indiana Braces for Light Snow Thursday Night: Up to 2 Inches Expected

Northern Indiana, IN – Lake effect snow showers are set to diminish overnight, but more snow is on the way Thursday night.

According to the US National Weather Service Northern Indiana, minimal snow accumulation of less than an inch is expected tonight. By Thursday night, areas south of US-30 could see an additional 1 to 2 inches of light snow. Temperatures tonight will dip to between 21 and 26 degrees, while Thursday will bring highs ranging from 29 to 34 degrees.

Thursday night temperatures are expected to drop to 18 to 25 degrees. The heaviest snow is predicted for regions such as Monticello, Kokomo, and Marion, which could see slippery roads during evening commutes.

Residents are advised to monitor forecasts and exercise caution on untreated roads, especially in rural and lake-adjacent areas prone to drifting snow.
