Sacramento, CA – A streak of dry, sunny days is taking hold across the Sacramento Valley, with temperatures climbing to 85°F by Thursday afternoon and remaining above average through early next week.
According to the National Weather Service, Sacramento will see calm conditions overnight with a low around 54°F before warming quickly Thursday under clear skies. Winds will pick up slightly in the afternoon, reaching 5 to 7 mph from the southwest. Friday will bring a slightly cooler high near 79°F with gusts as strong as 21 mph in the evening.
By Saturday, skies turn partly cloudy but rain chances remain near zero. Daytime highs will stay in the low 70s, then rebound to the upper 70s and low 80s by Sunday and Monday. Residents in Elk Grove, Citrus Heights, and Roseville should prepare for extended outdoor heat exposure, especially during afternoon hours.
With no precipitation expected and winds staying mostly light, now is a good time to complete outdoor projects, hydrate regularly, and check cooling systems ahead of hotter months. While the weather remains pleasant, fire danger could rise in drier foothill areas heading into next week.
This warm, dry pattern is expected to continue at least through Wednesday, with updated advisories possible by the weekend.
