Eureka, Calif. – Red Bluff will climb to a sweltering 90°F Thursday, leading a string of unseasonably warm and dry conditions across Northern California, with no rain in sight from the coast to the inland valleys.

According to the National Weather Service in Eureka, temperatures are expected to peak between the mid-80s and low 90s from Clearlake to Redding through late afternoon, with widespread sunshine and zero percent chance of precipitation across the region. Overnight lows will dip into the 40s and 50s, offering mild relief.

Cities along the coast, including Eureka, Crescent City, and Fort Bragg, will stay cooler with highs in the upper 50s and low 60s. Interior areas such as Weaverville (85°F), Chico (89°F), and Ukiah (86°F) will see elevated heat levels, increasing dehydration risk and potential fire weather conditions, especially in dry brush areas.

Residents should stay hydrated, limit strenuous outdoor activity in the afternoon, and keep pets cool. No wind or heat advisories have been issued, but the pattern marks a sharp contrast to typical early May temperatures.

Warm and dry conditions are expected to persist through the weekend. The National Weather Service may issue fire weather updates if humidity drops further.
