Cleveland, OH – Residents across Northeast Ohio are waking up to freezing temperatures and ongoing snow showers as a cold front grips the region. The National Weather Service reports temperatures in the low 20s this morning, with wind chills making it feel even colder. Snow flurries may persist throughout the day, especially along Lake Erie, reducing visibility and causing hazardous travel on I-90 and other major routes.

According to the National Weather Service, today’s high is expected to peak at 28°F, with patchy blowing snow and gusty northwest winds of 14–17 mph. Tonight, temperatures will dip to 22°F with snow chances increasing slightly overnight. Commuters should plan for icy roads and limited visibility during evening and early morning hours.

Looking ahead, Wednesday offers only slight relief with a high near 23°F and mostly cloudy skies. Overnight, temperatures will plummet to 18°F. The cold spell continues into Thursday with sunny skies but frigid air, as highs barely reach 25°F.

By Friday, snow showers are likely to return, with a high of 27°F. Saturday may see accumulating snow, with a high near 31°F. Officials urge drivers to use caution, check local forecasts, and avoid unnecessary travel during periods of reduced visibility.

For those needing to be outdoors, dressing in layers and covering exposed skin is critical to prevent frostbite in these freezing conditions. Stay tuned for updates on any additional advisories or snowfall totals.
