Cleveland, OH – A stretch of mild spring-like weather in northern Ohio will take a turn midweek, as a strong low-pressure system is expected to bring rain, gusty winds, and a chance of heavy snow.
According to the National Weather Service, Monday will be mostly sunny, with temperatures reaching the low 40s. The calm conditions will continue into Tuesday, with highs climbing into the low 50s. However, by late Tuesday night, showers will move in, followed by heavy rain and strong winds on Wednesday. Wind gusts over 40 mph are expected across northeast Ohio.
By Wednesday night, temperatures will drop into the 30s, allowing rain to transition into snow. Northern Ohio, including Cleveland and surrounding counties, could see accumulating snowfall into early Thursday. Travelers should be prepared for reduced visibility and hazardous road conditions, especially on I-90 and I-71.
Thursday will remain breezy with lingering snow showers in the morning before conditions clear in the afternoon. Highs will stay in the upper 30s. By Friday, the region will see partly sunny skies with a high near 42°F, before another chance of rain and snow moves in Friday night into Saturday.
Residents should stay updated on changing conditions, secure outdoor objects before the high winds arrive, and use caution while driving midweek. More updates will follow as forecasts develop.
