Cleveland, OH — Rain and rising temperatures are heading toward northeast Ohio, with Cleveland expected to get soaked by early Friday morning. Commuters along I-90 should prepare for wet pavement, reduced visibility, and gusty winds up to 29 mph.

According to the National Weather Service, Cleveland will see increasing clouds Thursday evening, with overnight lows around 43°F. By Friday, showers are expected by 11 a.m., with an 80% chance of rain and highs near 66°F. Thunderstorms are possible after 2 p.m., potentially complicating midday travel. Rain will taper slightly Friday night, but chances remain near 50%, keeping the region damp into Saturday morning.

South to southeast winds will range from 11 to 18 mph Friday, with gusts reaching near 30 mph, especially closer to Lake Erie. Drivers are urged to reduce speed and maintain safe distances on highways such as I-90 and Route 2.

Saturday brings a 40% chance of rain during the day, climbing to 80% overnight. Highs could reach 70°F before a cooler Sunday, where rain chances stay at 80% with a high near 56°F. By Monday, temperatures will fall to a high of 50°F, with scattered showers persisting through Tuesday.
