Cleveland, OH – Rain and thunderstorms are expected to move into northern Ohio overnight Sunday, bringing widespread wet conditions and a chance of morning storms through midday Monday.
According to the National Weather Service in Cleveland, a warm front lifting north will drive temperatures into the low to mid-60s across much of the region, while areas along Lake Erie may hold in the 50s due to lake-effect winds. Rain chances increase sharply after midnight, reaching 85–90% by 10 a.m. Monday in cities including Cleveland, Akron, and Elyria.
Drivers in Sandusky, Medina, and Wooster could see slick road conditions for the Monday morning commute. In Findlay, Mansfield, and Marion, rainfall will arrive a bit later but could still impact early travelers. High-resolution models suggest the heaviest activity may occur between 6 a.m. and noon.
Residents are urged to limit early travel, allow extra time for wet roads, and keep devices charged in case of isolated power outages. This system also marks a shift back to cooler weather behind the cold front, with afternoon temps falling Monday.
Additional rain chances and cooler air are expected through Tuesday. Stay alert for updated advisories as the front continues to move east.
