Fort Worth, Texas – Drivers along I-35 from Waco to Gainesville should expect slick roads and isolated strong storms through late Saturday morning as a broken line of thunderstorms continues to push east.
According to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, storms will move across North and Central Texas this morning, with a few capable of producing small hail and gusty winds—particularly in the DFW area and northeast toward Paris. Locally heavy rain may cause travel disruptions, especially along the I-35 corridor.
The strongest activity early Saturday was concentrated near Gainesville, DFW, and Palestine, with showers lingering around Cisco and Killeen. While the threat for severe storms is limited, brief downpours could reduce visibility and lead to minor flooding in low-lying areas.
Residents are urged to take it slow on wet roads and monitor local alerts. Outdoor plans may need to be adjusted due to scattered lightning and brief heavy rain.
Most of the storm activity is expected to weaken by midday, but wet pavement and residual delays could continue into the afternoon. No new alerts have been issued yet, but updates will follow if stronger storms redevelop later today.
