Fort Worth, Texas – Scorching temperatures and scattered evening storms will impact North Texas beginning Thursday, with highs climbing into the 90s across the region by Friday and Saturday. Areas like DFW, Waco, and Sherman could see 93°F or higher as a ridge of high pressure builds overhead.

According to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, isolated storms may develop west of I-25 on Thursday, with broader thunderstorm complexes expected to move into the Red River Valley Friday night and again Saturday evening. These systems could bring lightning, gusty winds, and brief downpours to parts of North Texas.

Cities including Graham, Cisco, and Paris will see increasing storm chances later this week, especially during the evening hours. Sherman and DFW may experience a few strong storms Friday evening, while Waco and Killeen will heat up into the mid-90s under mostly dry conditions.

Residents should limit outdoor activities during peak afternoon heat, stay hydrated, and prepare for brief weather delays or lightning hazards during the evening.

This warming trend continues through the weekend, with storm chances peaking Saturday night. Additional advisories may be issued if storm strength increases.
