Fort Worth, TX – A cold front will sweep across North Texas tonight, bringing scattered showers and cooler temperatures to kick off the fall season. Rainfall totals are expected to be light, with areas west of Highway 281 seeing the greatest chance for rain, totaling 0.75 inches. Showers will taper off by midday Monday, offering relief from the warm weather.

According to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, the storm will move through the region overnight. Temperatures will drop as cool northwesterly winds take over, with highs falling into the mid-70s to 80s across North and Central Texas. Residents near Gainesville, DFW, and Killeen can expect showers to persist through Monday morning.

Drivers are encouraged to use caution on wet roads, especially along Highway 281. Monday afternoon will see dry conditions returning, but cooler air will settle in for the week. Be sure to check for updates and plan for cooler morning temperatures through mid-week.
