North Dakota Faces Brutal Cold: Wind Chills at -35°F

Bismarck, ND – Residents in northern North Dakota are facing extreme cold this morning, with wind chills dipping as low as 35 degrees below zero.

According to the National Weather Service, the cold weather advisory remains in effect until 9 a.m. Friday for Bottineau, Renville, Rolette, Burke, and Divide counties. Frostbite can occur on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes under these conditions.

Officials urge residents to limit outdoor activities, wear layered clothing, hats, and gloves, and exercise caution while traveling outside.
