According to the National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg, the advisory covers Buncombe, Graham, Haywood, Macon, Madison, Jackson, Swain, Transylvania, and Yancey counties in North Carolina, along with Rabun and Habersham counties in Georgia and several mountainous areas in South Carolina.
