Raleigh, N.C. – A quiet stretch of weather continues across central North Carolina Tuesday, with dry skies and seasonably mild temperatures making for ideal conditions to spend time outdoors.

According to the National Weather Service in Raleigh, highs today will range from the mid-70s to near 80 degrees across Wake, Durham, Cumberland, and surrounding counties. Humidity levels remain low, and no rain is in the forecast through Tuesday night.

Residents in Raleigh and Fayetteville can expect highs around 79°F, while Greensboro and Sanford will top out closer to 77°F. Tonight, temperatures will dip into the low-to-mid 50s, with cooler pockets in the Sandhills and Piedmont foothills—ideal for open windows and lower energy use.

While the stretch of calm weather offers a break from recent storms, NWS officials recommend using the dry spell to check gutters, clear debris, and prepare for the potential of rain later this week. No active advisories are in effect, but longer-term forecasts suggest possible unsettled weather heading into the weekend.

Another update is expected early Wednesday, but for now, conditions remain pleasant and stable across the region.
