Wilmington, NC – A warm and sunny day is ahead for the Cape Fear region, but early-morning drivers may encounter patchy fog across local roadways, especially along Highway 17. Temperatures are expected to climb to 68°F by midday, bringing a perfect fall day for outdoor activities.

According to the National Weather Service, visibility could drop significantly before 8 a.m. due to the fog. Drivers should use caution, reduce speeds, and keep headlights on low beam while traveling. As the morning progresses, the fog will dissipate, giving way to clear skies and calm conditions.

Tonight, temperatures will drop to 44°F under mostly clear skies, with light winds keeping conditions tranquil. Looking ahead, Monday will bring even warmer weather, with highs nearing 74°F and sunny skies throughout the day. Calm winds will keep the region pleasant, making it ideal for outdoor plans or commutes.

Midweek, rain chances increase slightly, with a 20% chance of light showers on Tuesday night. By Wednesday, scattered showers are expected, with a high of 76°F. Cooler air will follow on Thursday, as temperatures drop to 60°F with sunshine returning.

Residents are encouraged to stay updated on weather changes, particularly as rain and cooler weather approach midweek. For now, enjoy the sunny conditions and mild temperatures.
