According to the National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg, damaging wind gusts of up to 22 mph and large hail are possible Sunday morning into Sunday night. The hazardous weather outlook remains in effect for Mecklenburg, Cabarrus, Union, and surrounding counties near the Catawba River. Showers will likely begin by 11 a.m., followed by a possible thunderstorm through the early evening.
