Morehead City, NC – Gusty winds will continue across eastern North Carolina on Saturday, but temperatures are set to warm up, especially in the coastal plain.
According to the National Weather Service in Newport/Morehead City, high temperatures will range from the mid-60s to the mid-70s in many areas, with warmer conditions near the coast. Morehead City and Jacksonville could see highs in the mid-70s, while inland areas such as Greenville and Kinston will experience temperatures in the upper 60s.
Despite the warm-up, breezy conditions will persist, with maximum wind gusts reaching 15-20 mph across much of the region. Coastal areas and higher elevations may experience slightly stronger gusts.
Residents should also remember that Daylight Saving Time begins Saturday night, meaning clocks will need to be set forward one hour.
