According to the National Weather Service in Wilmington, a marginal risk exists for severe thunderstorms across Robeson, Columbus, Brunswick, New Hanover, and Pender counties on Saturday night into early Sunday. The primary concern will be wind gusts reaching 20–22 mph, especially after 2 a.m. Sunday, with showers possible earlier in the evening.

Saturday will remain sunny with highs near 82°F, but cloud cover will increase after sunset, leading to potential storms. Travelers along US-74, US-17, and NC-421 should prepare for slick roads and brief delays. Localized rainfall totals between a tenth and a quarter inch are expected, though higher amounts are possible in thunderstorms.
