Raleigh, NC – Cold rain continues across central and northern North Carolina on Wednesday, with light glaze concerns on elevated surfaces in parts of the northern Piedmont until approximately 10 a.m.

According to the National Weather Service Raleigh, areas in Person, Granville, and Vance counties may experience light icing on elevated surfaces through the morning hours. Steady rain will gradually retreat northward, with precipitation expected to linger through the evening.

Temperatures will remain cool throughout the day, with highs reaching the upper 30s to low 40s across the region. The calendar day high temperature is expected to occur around midnight.

Residents should exercise caution on elevated roadways, bridges, and overpasses, as isolated slick spots may develop. Travelers are urged to check road conditions before heading out, especially in areas north of the Triangle.
