According to the National Weather Service, storms are likely after 2 p.m. Friday, May 2, with gusty winds up to 18 mph and moderate rainfall expected. A second round of stronger thunderstorms is possible late Friday night into Saturday, with rain totals potentially reaching one inch by the weekend’s end.

Expect wet roads and reduced visibility, especially during the Friday evening commute and again Saturday afternoon. Motorists should allow extra travel time and avoid low-lying areas prone to pooling water.

Saturday brings more unsettled spring weather, with showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 2 p.m. Temperatures will peak near 82°F. Rain and storms will likely continue into Saturday night, particularly after 8 p.m.

Sunday’s pattern improves slightly, though a 40% chance of showers remains. Highs will sit near 74°F under partly sunny skies.
