North Carolina – Dense Fog Advisory Issued Across Central and Eastern Regions

Raleigh, NC – Dense fog is blanketing much of North Carolina this morning, with visibility reduced to a quarter mile or less in several areas. The National Weather Service has issued a Dense Fog Advisory for central and eastern counties, effective until 10 a.m.

According to the advisory, hazardous driving conditions are expected in cities including Raleigh, Durham, Greensboro, and Fayetteville, as well as coastal regions near Ocracoke and Surf City. Drivers are urged to use low-beam headlights, reduce speed, and maintain a safe following distance.

Dense fog is also impacting marine navigation along coastal waters, with similar advisories extending to Virginia and South Carolina.
