Pasquotank, NC – A winter storm warning remains in effect for northeast North Carolina, with heavy snow expected from late Tuesday into early Wednesday.

According to the National Weather Service in Wakefield, VA, snowfall will begin around 5 p.m. Tuesday and persist until 7 a.m. Wednesday. Accumulations of 2 to 4 inches are forecast across the region, with coastal areas potentially seeing up to 5 inches.

Affected areas include Pasquotank, Camden, Chowan, Perquimans, and Currituck counties. The snowfall is expected to create hazardous road conditions during the Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning commutes.

Residents are advised to avoid non-essential travel and prepare for potential delays if driving becomes unavoidable. Travelers should carry an emergency kit, including a flashlight, food, and water, in case of prolonged delays.
