Fort Worth, TX — Severe thunderstorms are forecasted to impact North and Central Texas, including Fort Worth, throughout today. The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued warnings for storms capable of producing damaging winds, potential tornadoes, and hail. Residents near I-35 are urged to stay vigilant as these storms are likely to develop by late morning, peaking during the afternoon hours.

According to the NWS Fort Worth office, storms could bring wind gusts of over 60 mph and localized flooding. The most significant threat spans from Sherman to Canton, where the potential for tornadoes is heightened. Be prepared by having multiple ways to receive weather alerts and plan safe shelter locations in advance.

The rest of the week includes variable weather, with a 30% chance of rain on Tuesday and clearing skies into Wednesday, which will bring a high of 72°F. Thunderstorms could return Thursday night with a 50% chance of precipitation continuing into Friday.
