Atlanta, GA – A frost advisory is in place for large portions of north and central Georgia from 3 a.m. to 9 a.m. Thursday. Temperatures are expected to fall as low as 35°F, potentially leading to frost formation. Counties under the advisory include Dade, Cobb, Forsyth, and Hall.

According to the National Weather Service, sensitive outdoor vegetation is at risk. Plants left unprotected may suffer damage or be killed by the cold. Residents are advised to cover plants or bring them indoors before temperatures drop overnight.

This advisory spans much of the region, with colder valleys potentially seeing temperatures in the upper 20s. Take precautions to protect outdoor plants and secure any vulnerable outdoor plumbing systems.
