New York, NY – Snow and freezing rain will impact the New York City metro area through Thursday morning, creating hazardous travel conditions.
According to the National Weather Service, a Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for Nassau and Suffolk counties until 7 a.m. Wednesday, with up to half an inch of additional snowfall expected. Roads may be slippery, especially during the morning commute.
A new Winter Weather Advisory will go into effect from 7 p.m. Wednesday to 9 a.m. Thursday for parts of southern Connecticut, northeast New Jersey, and southeast New York. The storm will bring a mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain, with up to an inch of accumulation and a light ice glaze. Conditions will worsen overnight before improving as temperatures rise Thursday morning.
