According to the National Weather Service (NWS), snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches are expected, with the heaviest snowfall occurring during the evening commute. Hazardous conditions will primarily impact areas north of Watertown and the Thousand Islands region. Drivers are urged to slow down, allow extra travel time, and use caution. Snow-covered roads and limited visibility are anticipated, especially during peak traffic hours.
Looking ahead, temperatures will remain in the low 20s Friday, with lingering snow showers into the afternoon. Conditions are expected to improve by Saturday as sunshine returns and temperatures rise slightly to the mid-20s.
