Buffalo, NY – Showers moved out of the eastern Lake Ontario region early Saturday, setting the stage for a dry, sunny weekend across much of upstate New York.

According to the National Weather Service in Buffalo, lingering rain in north-central New York will end by late morning, followed by clearing skies. Western New York, including Buffalo and Rochester, will see mostly sunny conditions Saturday with highs ranging from 62 to 69 degrees. Tonight will be mostly clear, with overnight lows dropping to the upper 30s to low 40s.

Cities such as Watertown and Oswego may notice clouds early on Saturday, but conditions will improve by afternoon. Drivers along I-81 and Route 104 should remain cautious of damp roads in the morning but can expect dry pavement later in the day. Sunday looks even better statewide, with widespread sunshine and highs reaching the mid to upper 60s.

Residents are encouraged to take advantage of the fair weather for outdoor plans but should still dress in layers, especially for cooler mornings. There are no active weather alerts or watches in effect for the region this weekend.

The next weather system is not expected until early next week, but updates will be issued if conditions change.
