Albany, NY – A long-awaited warming trend is set to begin this weekend as the arctic front loosens its grip on the Northeast. Temperatures will gradually rise, bringing relief from the bitter cold that has dominated much of the week.

According to the National Weather Service, Friday will be partly sunny with a high near 25°F, accompanied by northwest winds of 10-14 mph and gusts up to 25 mph. Friday night will see mostly clear skies, with temperatures dropping to around 10°F.

Saturday brings even more improvement, with partly sunny conditions and highs reaching 33°F. By Sunday, the warming trend continues, with highs climbing to 35°F under mostly cloudy skies. Overnight lows will remain chilly, but not as extreme, settling around 20°F.

Looking ahead to early next week, temperatures will rise further, with Monday’s high expected to reach 40°F. A chance of showers moves in Monday night, followed by a high of 43°F on Tuesday.

Residents should take advantage of the milder temperatures, but remain cautious of icy patches, especially during overnight hours. Stay updated with local forecasts as conditions evolve.
