New York, NY – Spring warmth is settling over New York and the surrounding tri-state region Wednesday, drawing residents outdoors with highs in the mid-70s from Midtown Manhattan to Morristown, Newark, and Hartford.

According to the National Weather Service in New York, temperatures will climb into the lower to upper 70s across most inland locations, peaking between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. Wednesday. Light winds and partly cloudy skies will make for a comfortable day, though areas along the immediate coastline—including Montauk, JFK, and Romer Shoal—will remain a few degrees cooler, in the low to mid-60s.

From Harlem and Jackson Heights to Riverdale, Pelham, and Flatbush, city neighborhoods will see highs between 74°F and 77°F. In Connecticut, Bridgeport, New Haven, and Hartford will hover in the low 70s, while Trenton and Freehold in New Jersey may touch 78°F by late afternoon. Travelers should expect smooth commutes, as dry weather prevails and no road closures or weather-related hazards are anticipated.

Residents near the shore should keep a light jacket handy for breezy conditions. With no major rain expected, it’s an ideal day for outdoor activities—just remember to stay hydrated.

Warm, dry weather continues through the evening, with temperatures gradually falling overnight. The National Weather Service may issue further updates if conditions change.
