Buffalo, NY – A foggy morning gave way to a pleasant Sunday across western and northern New York, with sunshine expected through the evening hours.

According to the National Weather Service Buffalo office, temperatures started off in the 30s early Sunday, April 13, accompanied by patchy fog and lingering low cloud cover. By the afternoon, skies began to clear across much of the region, ushering in near-average high temperatures and a light breeze.

High temperatures ranged from the low 50s near Lake Erie in Dunkirk and Jamestown to the upper 50s in Buffalo, Batavia, and Rochester. The warmest spots, like Dansville and Geneva, were expected to hit 60°F or higher. Conditions in northern cities like Watertown and Clayton hovered in the mid-50s under partly sunny skies.

Travelers should remain cautious during early morning hours due to reduced visibility in fog-prone areas. As sunshine increases, road conditions improve, and outdoor activities become more favorable.

While Sunday wraps up on a mild note, residents are encouraged to monitor local updates as fluctuating spring weather patterns could bring new changes in the coming days.
