Albany, NY – Eastern New York and western New England will see increasing clouds today ahead of an approaching clipper system, which will bring light snow tonight. Travel conditions may become slick overnight into Thursday morning.

According to the National Weather Service in Albany, snowfall will begin after 10 PM, with accumulations ranging from 1 to 4 inches depending on location. Areas north and west of Albany, including the Adirondacks, will see the highest amounts.

Temperatures today will reach the upper 30s to low 40s before dropping overnight. The morning commute Thursday could be challenging due to snow-covered roads. Drivers are urged to allow extra travel time and use caution.

By Thursday afternoon, precipitation may mix with rain in lower elevations as temperatures rise. A gradual warming trend will continue into the weekend, with mostly dry conditions expected by Friday.
