New York Spring Weather Outlook: Frigid Temperatures Tonight, Warmer Days Ahead in Rensselaer

Rensselaer, NY – Bitter cold remains in place across Rensselaer as wind chills drop to near zero Sunday night, but a spring-like warmup is ahead. Monday will start cold before temperatures gradually rise through midweek, bringing rain and milder conditions.

According to the National Weather Service, Sunday night’s lows will dip to 7°F with wind chills as low as -6°F. Monday will be sunny but brisk, with a high near 30°F and light winds. By Tuesday, temperatures climb to 46°F with partly sunny skies, signaling a shift toward milder conditions.

Midweek, rain moves in, with Wednesday bringing a high near 53°F and a 100% chance of precipitation. Wednesday night remains rainy, with lows near 43°F and a 90% chance of showers.

Thursday offers a break, with partly cloudy skies and a high of 52°F. Temperatures dip again Thursday night to 26°F before rebounding Friday with a high of 41°F.

Residents should prepare for icy sidewalks Monday morning and stay alert for potential heavy rain midweek. While spring warmth is on the horizon, winter’s grip still lingers.
