Binghamton, NY – After a frigid weekend, Binghamton will see a mix of spring-like warmth and lingering winter conditions this week. Residents should prepare for a rollercoaster of temperatures, with sunshine on Monday giving way to midweek rain before colder air returns.

According to the National Weather Service, Monday will bring mostly sunny skies with a high of 32°F. Winds will be light in the morning but may pick up later in the day. By Monday night, temperatures will drop to 23°F under partly cloudy skies.

Tuesday will be warmer, with highs reaching 48°F under mostly cloudy skies. However, by Tuesday night, a chance of showers moves in after 1 a.m., with a low of 39°F. Wednesday will be the wettest day of the week, with a 100% chance of rain and a high of 54°F.

By Wednesday night, rain will continue before tapering into scattered showers. The temperature will dip to 39°F, followed by a cooler Thursday with a high of 45°F and a chance of lingering showers.

Looking ahead to Friday, partly sunny conditions return, with a high near 40°F. However, another round of snow showers is possible Friday night into Saturday, with temperatures hovering in the mid-30s.

Drivers should be cautious midweek as rain could lead to slick roads, especially on Interstate 81 and Route 17. Those commuting should allow extra time during Wednesday’s downpours.

Stay updated with local forecasts, and prepare for a mix of warm and wet conditions before winter makes another appearance late in the week.
