Albany, NY – New Yorkers should prepare for a potentially turbulent weather day as scattered to numerous thunderstorms are expected across the region. Some of these storms may reach severe levels, according to the National Weather Service Albany.
Warm and humid conditions will prevail with high temperatures ranging from the upper 70s to the high 80s. Albany is forecasted to hit 86°F. According to the NWS, the most intense storm activity is anticipated in the afternoon and evening, posing risks of strong winds and heavy rainfall.
Monday will see a slight reduction in storm activity with highs climbing to 88°F and a 35% chance of showers. Cooler air will move in on Tuesday, dropping temperatures to a more comfortable 74°F under partly cloudy skies.
Midweek brings a return of storm chances. On Wednesday, expect showers and thunderstorms with highs in the upper 70s. By Thursday, temperatures will rise slightly to around 80°F with a mix of sun and clouds.
Friday closes the week with another round of showers and possible thunderstorms, accompanied by highs in the mid-70s.
