Binghamton, NY – Bitter cold and dangerously low wind chills continue to grip central New York as an arctic front lingers through Wednesday. The National Weather Service has issued a Cold Weather Advisory until 10 a.m. Tuesday, warning that wind chills could reach as low as 20 degrees below zero, creating hazardous conditions for residents.
According to the National Weather Service in Binghamton, frostbite can develop on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes in these conditions. Residents are urged to wear layered clothing, hats, and gloves if venturing outside and to limit prolonged outdoor exposure.

• Wednesday: Mostly cloudy, a slight chance of snow showers before 1 p.m., high of 21°F. Wind chills as low as -3°F.
• Thursday: Cloudy with a 50% chance of snow, high of 21°F.
• Friday: Mostly cloudy, high near 24°F.
• Saturday: Partly sunny with a high near 32°F—first sign of a warming trend.
• Sunday: Partly sunny, high near 36°F, signaling a break from the arctic chill.
While frigid temperatures remain a concern through midweek, warmer conditions are expected by the weekend, offering relief to residents across the region.
