New Orleans, LA – A dense fog advisory remains in effect until 9 a.m. Friday, creating low visibility conditions on roads across southeast Louisiana. The National Weather Service warns drivers to slow down and use low-beam headlights as visibility could drop to a quarter mile or less in some areas.

According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will hold around 70°F on Friday before dipping into the upper 40s overnight. As February kicks off, expect a cool and clear weekend, with sunny skies and highs in the mid-60s Saturday and Sunday.

By Monday, temperatures will climb back into the low 70s, bringing mostly sunny conditions to start the week. Winds will remain light throughout the weekend, shifting from north to southeast by Sunday.

With improving weather after the morning fog lifts, locals can expect a pleasant start to February. If heading out early Friday morning, allow extra travel time and remain cautious on the roads.
