Albuquerque, New Mexico – Albuquerque residents can expect a stretch of spring-like warmth this week, with daytime highs climbing into the low 80s and skies staying mostly sunny through at least Friday.

According to the National Weather Service in Albuquerque, temperatures will rise steadily starting Monday, peaking near 82°F on Wednesday and staying in the low 80s into the weekend. Nighttime lows will hover in the mid-to-upper 40s, offering mild evenings with mostly clear skies. Winds will remain light, generally under 10 mph.

The warm, dry spell will impact much of Bernalillo County and central New Mexico, providing ideal conditions for outdoor activities but increasing fire danger in dry brush areas. Calm morning winds are expected to shift slightly south in the afternoons, offering some relief during peak heat hours.

Travelers along I-25 and I-40 should experience smooth driving conditions, with no precipitation in sight. Residents are encouraged to hydrate, limit outdoor burning, and monitor air quality, which may dip in some urban zones due to stagnant conditions.

This stretch of sunshine is expected to hold until Saturday, when a slight chance of afternoon storms could return. Another update is expected by Thursday afternoon.
