Eunice, NM – A 3.2 magnitude earthquake struck just south of Eunice late Wednesday night, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The tremor was recorded at 14 kilometers south of the city, with a depth of 1.4 kilometers.
Residents across the region were encouraged to report whether they felt the earthquake. The USGS provides a platform, “Did You Feel It?”, allowing people to share their experiences. As of Thursday morning, there was one confirmed report from a citizen.

The agency encourages residents who felt any shaking to submit their observations online to help scientists better understand the earthquake’s impact.
